Afridi, Younis Surprised Over Inclusion In Central Contract

Pakistan star cricketer Shahid Afridi is surprised over the inclusion of his name in central contract. Former captain is in the ‘A’ category of central contract. Middle order batsman Younis Khan is also in the ‘A’ category of central contract.

Both the cricketers Shahid Afridi & Younis Khan is not in the squad of Pakistan cricket team for the tour of UK where Pakistan team will play against Ireland, Scotland and will also participate in ICC Champions Trophy. It is somehow understandable that Younis Khan is awarded ‘A’ category central contract because he is part of Pakistan Test XI. But to award central contract to Shahid Afridi is quite interesting. One source have claimed that Zaka Ashraf has included Afridi name’s in central contract because the new government will be formed by Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) and Prime Minister will be Nawaz Sharif. Afridi has very good relationship with Nawaz Sharif therefore Zaka Ashraf wanted to please Nawaz Sharif.

 However other source have denied such reports and have claimed that there are bright chances that Afridi will be recalled in the team very soon therefore he was given central contract.

LG Electronics, a South Korean multinational company will invest billions of rupees to compete with another South Korean multinational company Samsung in Pakistan. Samsung has very large number of customers. Recently Head of Samsung Mobile Division for Pakistan and Afghanistan announced that around 110,000 Samsung Galaxy SIII were sold in Pakistan.

I Have Made Pakistan Proud: Ali Zafar

Ali Zafar has said that wherever I o I made Pakistan proud. I have never brought bad name for Pakistan. Ali Zafar said that in India I travel a lot and only for few hours I get time for rest. He also said that he never forgets Pakistan and Lahore.
However some of his critics on Facebook stated that Ali Zafar has also brought bad name for Pakistan and he has done some objectionable scenes (ki** scenes) in the Bollywood films. Therefore Ali Zafar claim of making Pakistan proud is not true.
Recently singer turned actor Ali Zafar song is selected for the award of Best Original Sound Track (OST) in 12th Lux Style Awards. Ali Zafar song Zindagi Gulzar Hai of Zindagi Gulzar Hai drama (Hum TV) is nominated in this category.

Barack Obama Praises Pakistani On Twitter

US President Barack Obama has praised a Pakistani on his official twitter account. Barack Obama praised Faizan Buzdar on his project to build an innovative tech startup. Obama also tweeted that US immigration system is standing in his way. Faizan has founded www.convo.com which is a cloud based digital collaboration workspace that enables businesses and their globally distributed teams to work faster.


US President also shared the link of Faizan’s video where he (Faizan) has told that what problems he faced when he wanted to open company in US. Thousands of people on Facebook and Twitter shared this news and congratulated Faizan.
Faizan Buzdar while talking to media said that he is happy that he has made the country (Pakistan) proud. Faizan also said that there is a need of immigration reforms in US and more US visas should be granted. Technology expert Faizan said that Pakistani youth are very talented and now the world is changing therefore it is more important that the people are groomed.

Nawaz League Decides to Remove Ishrat ul Ebad

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz Leadership has decided to replace all governors in provinces. PML-N will replace Ishrat ul Ebad with senior PML-N leader. After getting simple majority in National Assembly, PML-N will change all governors. PPP’s governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmed Mehmood has already resigned while governor Sindh may also resign.

Pakistan Peoples Party and Muttahida Qaumi movement will be strongest parties in Sindh assemblies. Therefore Nawaz League is looking to appoint senior party leader who can give tough time to opponents. Mamnoon Hussain is one of strongest candidates for Governor Sindh Post, a web-portal claimed.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Iqbal Zafar Jhagra can take charge as Governor. Abdul Qadir Baloch is strong candidate for Governor Balochistan post.

It’s worth mentioning here that Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan is longest serving governor of Sindh. He was appointed as governor Sindh in December in Muslim League-Quaid Government.

Aafia Siddiqui Will Be Released Soon: Imran Khan

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said that Pakistan Nation will see good news about Aafia Siddiqui in upcoming days. Doctor Aafia Siddiqui’s is going to release from US jail in near future, Imran Khan said. Aafia Siddiqui’s sister Fauzia Siddiqui visited Shaukat Khanum Hospital to inquire health of PTI Chief.


Imran Khan said that PTI will raise voice for Aafia Siddiqui’s release. I am hoping that she will come back soon and rejoin family, Imran khan expressed his feelings. Last 10 days illness has made me thinking about the courage of Aafia Siddiqui. Imran Khan also promised that he will raise voice on this issue on every possible forum.
Fauzia Siddiqui prayed for Imran Khan’s health and also congratulated him for winning in General Election. Imran Khan thanked Fauzia and said that his party will make a model government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Samina Baig becomes first Pakistani Woman to conquered Mount Everest

Islamabad: Samina Baig has become first Pakistani girl who successfully climbed on Mount Everest. 21 years old Baig climbed on world’s highest mountain along with her brother Mirza Ali and other women Mountain climbers.  Samina and Mirza belong from Shimshal village in Hunza valley, Pakistan.


Mirza Ali is third Pakistani male to conquer on Mount Everest. He has also become youngest male to scale the Mount Everest. He has been climbing at the age of 15. He played important role to guide and Help Baig in climbing.
There were also other women Climbers from Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Qatar in this team. 25 years old Raha Moharrak has also achieved mark to conquer this mountain. She has become first Saudi Woman to get this honor.

Interestingly two Indian twin sisters were also part of this campaign. Pakistani and Indian mount climbers held Pakistan-India Flag jointly on Mount Everest to show Pakistan India friendship and peace.

Pakistani Actress Laila Declines Indian Film Offer

Lahore: Lollywood actress Laila has claimed that she received film offer from neighbor country but she didn’t accept it. Explaining the reason of decline, Laila said that she can’t leave Pakistan for a minute, and that’s why I can’t go India.  Stage and Film Actress Laila revealed this during an interview.

Laila became emotional while talking about her late mother. I always remember my mother before taking any step, Laila said. My mother was everything for me and I am feeling alone after my mother death, she added. Laila said that she prays that no one can face sorrow of his/her parents.
Commenting on recent Media projects, Laila surprised her fans. She said that she has no compulsion for working in media but she wants to utilize time in good manner. I work on TV and stage to make myself busy, Laila told during interview.
 It’s worth mentioning here Laila was also willing to join politics before election 2013 but she couldn’t link with any political party. Last Year Laila was also become part of headline due to her several scandals including Laila- Jahangir Badar Son Scandal. Later she told media that she was getting offers from Tehreek e Insaf and Peoples Party.

General Kayani Lauds Nation By Defeating Misguided Minority In Elections

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani has said that nation has defeated the misguided minority in the General Elections which was held on 11th May. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani was addressing a day-long international symposium on countering Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at the GHQ on 20th May.


General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani also said that Pakistani people not only stood against threat of terrorism but also they also defied unfounded dictates of an insignificant and misguided minority. Kayani also said that Pakistani nation on 11th May showed that they can withstand any challenge.
According to analysts General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani was referring to last PPP led government when he said “misguided minority”. Analyst believe that Kayani didn’t want to name Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) directly as it would have cost chaos but he (Kayani) was surely referring it to PPP. From 2008-2013 there were reports of billions of corruption in government and PPP was held responsible for this.
